In magazines black and white photography is very popular, it's a look that can be used in any fashion situation, it is also a easy look to create on anybody. The look below was created by our demonstrator for that day

Time to bleach those brows
Don't worry about actually bleaching brows in this post were going to talk about how to do a high fashion editorial look involving bleached brows (fake). So you ask how did we do it and now I will tell you.
So first we started off with prepping the skin using cleanse tone and moisturize routine and then it's not the eye,
We started by using a neutral base shade and then going in with a dusty pink all over the lid on top of the base color and then into the crease work a dark brown shade blending out to the outer corner of the eye and then blend a soft gold shade onto the middle of the eye to add more shimmer and depth to the eye.
Clean up any fallout using a wet wipe.
Using strobe cream as a base buff into the skin and then buff the foundation of your choice into the skin, then powder only where you need to powder so mainly the t-zone.
The contour and highlight as normal.
How to fake bleach the brows:
Using a derma color palette mix a color that suits the tone and the color of the brows that you are working on so in this case my teacher used D10, D6 and D7 once mixed now it is time to cover the brows.
First brush the brow hair the wrong way then load up your spooly brush or disposable mascara wand and coat the brow hair from the root up and after one or two layers the brows should look like they've been bleached. If this is coming off a bit yellow add a matte beige eye shadow onto the brow which also helps set the brow.
Do final touches and you're all done.
My final look
Overall I was pleased with how this look came out because it was something I have never done before and I think it came put well, though next time I would change the colours I used to bleach out the brow as I think it came out too yellow in tone.
I would though blend the eyeshadow more as well as it still looks a little too harsh.

Its time for another post
Hello and welcome back to my wonderful world of being a trainee makeup artist and hair stylist. We're finally back from christmas break and back to the drawing board or makeup table in this case. This week for our makeup lesson we were back to doing some fun makeup which is contrasting colours.
What are contrasting colours?
They are colours that are opposite another colour on the colour wheel, the more apart and directly apart the stronger contrast.
Examples of contrasting colour:
What are contrasting colours?
They are colours that are opposite another colour on the colour wheel, the more apart and directly apart the stronger contrast.
Examples of contrasting colour:
- Yellow and Purple
- Blue and Orange
- Red and Green
These are just a few colours that fall into this category and we were shown how to work these colours into a makeup look.
To complete this look Branka first started out by prepping the skin with moisturiser buffed straight into skin using a foundation brush.
Then Branka moved onto the eyes before doing the base, she started off first by using a cream product on top of the eye as we were working with bright pigments, Branka used a white base on top of the eye before patting the pigment (yellow) on top using a flat brush to pack the product on. Then using a contour colour Branka buffed the edges out and added shape to the look of the eye.
Using a eyeliner, line the upper lid and flick out to create a cat eye look.
Then using the cream base again line the waterline and just underneath the waterline and add another colour one that contrasts with the colour you already picked in this case the colour was purple and pat onto the lower lid.
Clean up any fallout before moving onto the base, buff foundation into the skin using the same brush you used with the moisturiser. Then using the same brush as the foundation pat highlighter onto the top of the cheekbones, cupids bow and along the bridge of the nose.
Lighlty dust a light layer of powder on top of the skin to hold the makeup in place.
Contour under the cheekbones, then fill in the eyebrows first using a gel and then a brow powder to fill in the sparse areas of the brows.
To complete the look add lipstick with some vaseline patted on top and your done.

My turn
I decided to recreate my own version when I got home on myself as we didn't in college get time to practise the look on someone else.
I decided to do a blue and orange eye makeup look with a black cat flick and then a pinkie nude lip. I thought it came out pretty we'll though I pull change the cat flick as I though it was too thick to truly complement this look. I did like the lip colour I had chosen as I thought it did complemented the eye makeup and made the eye be drawn to the main feature which was the contrasting colours in the eye makeup.
