In June 2011 Vogue Italia came out with a cover that instead of featuring the fashion industries normal perception of beauty, it instead featured 3 curvy models called Tara Lynn, Candice Huffine and Robyn Lawley photographed by Steven Meisel. The cover just has the magazines logo and the words Belle Vere meaning True Beauty which in my opinion is kind of odd.
The cover is beautiful three gorgeous curvy women in their underwear sultrily looking at the camera, this image to me is important and influential because for some of the more curvier girls out there seeing this cover on a publication like Vogue would definitely be a booster in ones confidence.
This cover has inspired other magazines such as Elle in Quebec to feature a plus sized model called Ashley Graham on their cover,
Ashley Graham has also recently started on the front cover of Sport Illustrated,
These magazine covers show the industries changing view towards more fuller sized figures and becoming more welcoming to the fact that all women have different body types and there not all cookie cutter shape that we normally see gracing our covers.
