The front cover of the magazine features Buzz Aldrin taken by fellow Astronaut Neil Armstrong, the inside talks about the Apollo eleven mission and includes colour photographs of the historic moon walk. The reason why I think this cover is influential and important is because it shows how far scientific research has taken us, it also is a moment that is seen as one of the greatest achievements of mankind and helped further a new generation of astronauts and people who want to be involved with space.
These images and this event did have an effect on the 60's and 70's fashion with Vogue magazine using Donna Mitchell as a model and photographed by Clive Arrowsmith in 1970 created this photo obviously inspired with space
This look from designer Pierre Cardin for L'Officiel in 1971 is again what was called Space age fashion,
Even in later years the space age was still inspiring designers for example in 1979 Louis Vuitton brought out a collection heavily inspired by the space theme,
