This week it's all about the lips, particularly different lips for example the classic red lip and the ombré lip.
So let's get started,
First we had our demo and did the basics because you wouldn't just do lips and not the rest of the face. So as usual,
For the face,
-Foundation but don't use so much foundation only use on the parts of the face where it needs the colour.
-Use concealer under the eye and buff away using a fluffy blending brush
-Go in with a highlighter on the top of the cheekbones, Cupid's bow.
-Go in with bronzer and buff lightly into the skin
-Fill in brows using a flat edged brush
For the eyes,
-Go in with a beige colour with a flat brush then go in with a taupe with a fluffy brush into the crease/Socket.
-Use any gel/liquid/pencil liner and line the eyes and to create the flick lift the edge of the eyelid and flick out the brush to create the flick.
So that's the basic face makeup that we were shown I quiet liked it because it looked natural and instead of looking caked on and it also enhanced the models features.
Now onto the lips,
First up- Classic Red
For this you will want to use a red lip pencil and then outline the Cupid's bow and bottom lip first and then using ssmall feathery movements with the pencil connect the two lines at the corner.
To fill in the lips select a red colour that flatters and compliments the models skin, once selected grab a small oval shaped brush and start to brush on in small strokes being careful to not go over the line.
Final look:
Teachers work.
Up next Ombré lips.
Using s black eyeliner (Ebony by MAC) go on top of the red all ready there and only draw on top of the outer edges, then grab your lip brush with no extra product and start blending away the edges of the black liner. If needed go into the middle of the lips with the original product and blend into the black.
Lastly GLITTER
IMPORTANT: DON'T use normal glitter make sure you are using only cosmetic glitter.
Using the cosmetic glitter of your choice use a soft brush to apply Vaseline onto the center of the lips all the way to the edges, you don't need a lot of Vaseline just enough to make the glitter stick. Using your clean finger dab glitter onto the lip to create a 2D effect. To create a more 3D effect use larger chunks of cosmetic glitter and dab onto the lip with more Vaseline if needed. To remove any fallout use a strip of rolled up masking tape and roll on top to remove the product without damaging the makeup underneath.
My turn.
I only managed to get around to doing the classic red lip and the Ombre lip completed,
