Light Side vs Dark Side

So another day another class today was with our Fashion makeup teacher Branka. Who started the lesson with a demo showcasing the difference between light and heavy makeup application.

So the darker side is the heavier side while the side with the shine is the lighter shade. 
 How to do,

For either look complete this step first,
- Lift by the brow bone to cleanse eye. Then use a Beauty balm or oil such as Aragan oil or vitamin A and once you have completed this step seal with moisturisers to retain oils natural shine.

For the lighter side makeup
First- Use derma colour to conceal areas around the face that need concealing using a synethetic brush to apply and then buffing out the concealer with a eyeshadow brush.

Second- Use a blush on the cheeks that compliments the skin tone. 

Third- Using a light reflecting concealer under the eyes buff in to add natural awakeness to the eyes. 

Fourth- Using a  strobe cream such as Mac Strobe cream apply on cheekbone, nose,eyebrow,and Cupid's bow for a natural glow.

Fifth- Add mascara to open the eyes, also add a natural lipstick to define the lips.

Finally- Using a translucent powder or powder to compliment the skin tone brush onto the skin starting at the t-zone and then the face. 

For the heavier  side,
First- Using a full coverage foundation pat the foundation onto the skin and then using a buffing brush, buff into the skin for a natural complexion. 

Second- Then add warmth back into the face with a warm toned concealer and using a concealer brush tap it in and then with the full coverage foundation buffing brush buff the concealer into the skin. 

Third- Then using a light reflecting concealer buff in with the same brush. 

Fourth- Blot translucent powdering a powder that compliments the skin all over the face.  

Fifth- Using strobe cream tap it onto cheekbones, Cupid's bow, brow bone. 

Sixth- Using a clear brow gel groom the brows into the desired shape and then using a flat concealer brush set the brows using a eyeshadow or contour powder. 

Seventh- Using bronzer on the cheekbones and then buff the rest around the face. Using highlighter brush on cheekbones and then on the bridge of the nose as well to highlight these areas. Add blusher to complement the look.

Finally- Add lipstick and mascara to complete the look.

Conclusion:
I would have powdered a bit more if I did this look again. Though I am please that my models natural freckles still show through because personally I like them as a beauty feature.
